Terms of use
Last updated Oct 26, 2026
These terms cover your use of JamRadar (jamradar.dev), which is run by Roberts Digital Creations, a business based in Ohio, USA ("we", "us"). By using the site, signing up for the newsletter, submitting a jam or buying a featured listing, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
1. What JamRadar is
JamRadar is a free directory of game jams and hackathons. We link to each event's official page. We don't run these events, and we're not responsible for how they're run, judged or paid out. JamRadar is not affiliated with or endorsed by itch.io or Devpost, or by any jam host unless a listing says otherwise.
2. Listings are provided "as is"
Listings are built automatically from public pages and from organizer submissions. Dates, deadlines, time zones, prizes, participant counts and especially the AI-rule labels ("AI allowed", "No AI" and so on) are detected automatically and may be wrong, incomplete or out of date. The official rules on each jam's own page always control. Check them before you enter or rely on anything here. The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.
3. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Roberts Digital Creations won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, prizes, entries, data or opportunities, arising from your use of JamRadar or reliance on any listing. Our total liability for any claim relating to JamRadar is limited to the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow certain limits, so some of this may not apply to you.
4. Featured listings (paid placements)
- A featured listing is a paid placement. It's labeled "Featured · Sponsored" on the site and "Sponsored" in the newsletter. Payment never changes a jam's AI-rules label or other facts.
- We review every featured listing before it goes live. We may refuse any listing, or remove one at any time, for example if it looks misleading, unlawful, spammy, unsafe or off-topic. Refunds follow our refund policy.
- By buying a featured listing you confirm that: the jam is real and will run as described; it and its promotion are lawful; you have the right to promote it; and anything you give us (names, text, links, images) doesn't infringe anyone's rights.
- You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Roberts Digital Creations from claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) that arise from your jam, your listing content, or a breach of these promises.
- We don't guarantee any number of views, clicks, signups or entrants.
5. Submissions and feedback
If you submit a jam, report a problem or send feedback, you confirm the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you're allowed to share it. We may edit, decline or remove submissions at our discretion, and we may use your feedback and ideas to improve JamRadar without owing you anything. Don't submit anything unlawful, deceptive, hateful, or that infringes someone else's rights.
6. Acceptable use
Don't attack, overload or try to break the site, scrape it in a way that harms it, or use it to spam people. Our public data feeds (events.json, llms.txt) are free to use with a link back to JamRadar; the underlying jam pages belong to their hosts.
7. Copyright and takedown requests
Event names, short excerpts and links belong to their owners and are shown to help people find events. If you're a jam organizer or rights holder and want something corrected or removed, contact us at hello@jamradar.dev with: the JamRadar page URL, what you want changed or removed, and how to reach you. For a copyright (DMCA) notice, please also include identification of the copyrighted work, a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use isn't authorized, a statement that your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you're the owner or authorized to act for the owner, and your physical or electronic signature. We'll respond promptly and honor reasonable removal requests.
8. Third-party sites and services
We link to outside sites (jam pages, itch.io, Devpost, Stripe and others). We don't control them, and their own terms and privacy policies apply.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using JamRadar after a change, the new terms apply.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Ohio, unless the law requires otherwise.
